Alison Brie Takes on Iconic Villain Role as Evil-Lyn in ‘Masters of the Universe

Alison Brie, best known for her roles in “GLOW,” “Mad Men,” and “Community,” is set to portray the formidable Evil-Lyn in the upcoming “Masters of the Universe” film by Mattel and Amazon. The movie, inspired by Mattel’s classic 1982 action figures, marks the latest live-action adaptation of the beloved franchise.
At 41, Brie is stepping into the shoes of Skeletor’s right-hand woman, bringing her talent and charisma to the role. Joining her in the star-studded cast, Nicholas Galitzine (“The Idea of You”) will play He-Man, while Camila Mendes takes on the role of Teela. However, the role of the notorious Skeletor remains uncast.
Brie took to social media on Thursday to share her excitement about the role, posting an article with the headline announcing that she “nabs (the) key villain role.” Her response? “Consider it nabbed,” she wrote confidently in her caption.
The announcement quickly garnered attention, with over 700 comments pouring in within hours. One enthusiastic fan humorously remarked, “I’m seated. The theater employees are scared and asking me to leave because it ‘hasn’t even started filming yet,’ but I’m simply too seated.”
Fans won’t have to wait too long to see Brie in action, as “Masters of the Universe” is set to hit theaters on June 5, 2026.
